The Kimmett Cup 2020
Though +5 degrees and melting ice isn’t the ideal weather for an outdoor pond hockey tournament, spirits were high as ever at the 2020 Kimmett Cup 3-on-3 tournament. A piece of our Company Culture is supporting our team members and the causes that impact their personal lives. We are extremely proud to say that our first charitable donation of 2020 was inspired by our ServiceNow Functional Lead, Gerald who has been actively participating in the Kimmett Cup since 2010. Gerald’s personal ties and dedication to this event are nothing short of inspiring, and we thank him for opening our eyes and our hearts to this incredible event.
“I volunteer, raise money and celebrate our loved ones, and importantly, those children and families who need some sunshine in their lives… I want to encourage others who have experienced pain in various forms in life, that they matter and there is hope. We have others in our lives who need us and we need them.” – Gerald

Making An Impact
The Kimmett Cup began in 2009 as a way to carry on Lindsay Kimmett’s legacy after her tragic passing in 2008. Lindsay Kimmett was an athlete, a leader, and an aspiring doctor with the ambition to leave her mark on the world. It’s in her memory that the Lindsay Leigh Kimmett Memorial Foundation has now contributed over $2,900,000 to local and international initiatives since its inception in 2008! The tournament has donated over $850,000 to the Children’s Wish Foundation, and this year it raised over $200,000 that’s going to several different causes including:
- Children’s Wish Foundation
- Children’s Cottage Society
- Helping Families Handle Cancer Foundation
- Cochrane Search and Rescue
- Helping Youth Through Educational Scholarships (HYTES)
The atmosphere of this event is truly something to behold and we are tremendously proud to have been able to lend our support this year.
